2021 Advent/Christmas Service Project - Diaper Drive Has Begun!!

Our annual Diaper Drive in support of the Hunterdon Diaper Bank is underway and will end with our Epiphany Sunday service in January.

The Diaper Bank is a partnership between the United Way of Hunterdon County and food pantries and agencies throughout the county, established to help ease some of the financial stress that our neighbors experience by providing free diapers, wipes, lotions, and incontinence products.  This is a critical community need, as these items are not covered by Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Women, Infants and Children (WIC), or other programs.

Here are the Hunterdon Diaper Bank's specific needs at this time:
  • This year we really need size 4, 5 and 6 diapers for babies.
  • We are pretty well stocked for adult incontinence products.
  • In addition, we are now collecting feminine hygiene products, so pads and tampons are also a priority.
Collection boxes will be in the narthex starting this Sunday.

Other ways to support the drive include:

If you use any of these donation options, please indicate that you are supporting through the Living Waters Lutheran Church (LWLC) Diaper Drive.

Judy and Charlie Segers had an opportunity to be bearers of good things. Last week they delivered the diapers and wipes to the local food pantry. This act of care and compassion was possible because of your generosity. Thank you!
